| Fred Miranda Offline Admin Upload & Sell: On | I'm looking for a wireless remote that gives me the option to press and "hold" the shutter button for continuous shooting and bulb-lock. Most IR remotes I've tried do not seem to let me do that and I don't want to use the phone or wired remotes. Thanks! | Aug 19, 2018 at 04:57 PM | | | |

You need to put the camera in bulb mode, press the shutter to start the exposure and press again to stop it. (instead of holding) | Aug 19, 2018 at 07:17 PM

That worked fine when pressing the camera shutter release, but I couldn't get the remote to do more than a single shot per press. | Aug 19, 2018 at 08:33 PM

The Sony remote app works great with the A7R3 though. It connects to the camera instantly and has a shutter lock button. | Aug 19, 2018 at 08:40 PM

Fred Miranda wrote: So without the receiver plugged to the camera, the remote still works by pointing it to the camera's IR? Does pressing and holding the shutter button allows for continuous shooting? If so, yours is the same as this one? https://www.sony.com/electronics/interchangeable-lens-cameras-tripods-remotes/rmt-vp1k Thanks for your info! | Aug 19, 2018 at 11:00 PM
| T_Gordon Offline • • • Upload & Sell: Off | I've got a SMDV RFN-4 (RF-913) wireless remote on the way due to the same issue with my current IR remote. It should also work great with the half shutter focus and not be limited to IR. I had their remote for my previous D850 and was fantastic... I'm hoping the same for this one. https://www.1212world.com/product-page/smdv-rfn-4-rf-913-wireless | Aug 20, 2018 at 08:07 AM | | | |

Hmmm...I have that same remote and I can only get it to work when its included receiver is connected to the camera. (I'd love to be able to use it without that annoying dongle) | Aug 20, 2018 at 08:24 AM
