This recipe contains a carbohydrate content of 0.92% on an as fed basis and 4.18% on a dry matter basis. The phosphorous content is 0.55% on an as fed basis and 2.5% on a dry matter basis.
Is this raw or cooked venison and pork liver?

How long can I keep the can in the fridge after opening?

An unopened can of food will last until the expiration date stamped on the can. Exposure to air, light, hot temperatures and humidity speeds up the rate at which foods degrade. To limit these effects, keep the food stored in original packaging and store in a cool, dry location. Ideally, after opening, any leftovers should be covered and stored in the refrigerator and should be consumed within 3-5 days.
I am told the proteins are imported from China, is this true?

Instinct doesn't source any of their meat or poultry from China. All of their poultry and pork come from the U.S., the beef is from the U.S. and New Zealand, their lamb is from the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand, their venison is imported from Australia and New Zealand, and their rabbit is imported from France and Italy.

My cat loves this food!
One of my cats has IBS and can only eat rabbit and venison food. I could only get this from Chewy, no pet store where I live carries it. When my cat got his first taste for breakfast he finished off the whole can. This was great because he struggles to eat because of his stomach issues. It's more of a ground meat texture not really pate which is smooth but it didn't matter to him. It was gone! It doesn't upset his stomach either.

Mold spores?
Bought this once from our local pet store, mister picky cat Binx ate it great. Bought again and found mold spores all over the top of the loaf and down the sides!

Thunder approved
finding cat food without chicken isn't easy or cheap so when i find one i get it - Thunder loves it, cleans his plate up. it's not soupy like some pâté's and no lingering odor will order again

Our cats won't eat it
Josie (pictured) is having some skin issues so our vet wanted us to change to a venison based food and the one we needed was out of stock for months so we gave this one a try. Neither of our cats would eat this. We tried mixing it in slowly with their old food, then taking the old food away completely and just tried to feed this but they wouldn't touch it. We decided to try feeding it to the feral cats in the neighborhood and they won't touch it either. I ended up giving the rest away.

Not a Huge Hit
I have 2 cats; one is extremely picky and the other will eat almost anything. I had purchased another brand's venison wet food a few months ago and it was a big success with both cats. This one my picky cat would almost not touch at all but it didn't go to waste because my other cat would usually finish it up. An excellent food if your cat will eat it, though. I wouldn't order this again but at least it wasn't money down the drain.

Cats Love It
Vet recommended venison for cat allergic to chicken. Cat food without chicken hard to find. Cat and his sister love this food. Cry when their bowls are empty!

Expensive Mistake
Use caution if you are trying this for the first time. Or try to buy a single can somewhere. My cat has eaten other venison cat food. And she'll at least try pretty much any wet food I put down. Even if it's something she doesn't like I can top it with something she does and get her to eat some of it. I put this down and she just stared at me. She wouldn't go near it. I tried mixing it with other food and she'd walk away. She'd rather starve. I took a gamble and basically threw away $40.

Love this for my kitty!
My Maine coon loves this stuff.He used to eat another that has been oos for months so I was leery at first.He loved it right from the start.a little more expensive than his other,but have no other choice.The main thing is he likes it.

Something is really off
Both of my kitties would barely eat it. Something is really off as they would eat all of the venison in the Tiki brand but not this one. Very frustrating as it's expensive.
